Customers due to arrive before July 2020 can suspend their holiday to a later date within the next 12 months. As we receive further government advice and information. The date change is complimentary, There will be no fee incurred for this change of date, you will only need to pay the difference in property rate (if applicable).

Towels and linen and provided for all properties. Cleaning and linen change will be offered only for 2 weeks stay or longer. A kitchen starter pack and a toilet roll per bathroom will be provided. Guests are required to bring all bathroom and kitchen essentials including, soaps, extra toilet rolls, washing up liquids, dishwasher tablets, condiments etc.
Unfortunately, we do not have BBQs.

1. Cancellation of booking by you
If you need to cancel your booking, you must contact the office as soon as possible. The booking deposit is only refundable 60 days prior to arrival. Full payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. (except Force Majeure conditions, see below)
2. Changing the date of a booking
Your booking may not normally be moved from one date to another, once made except at the discretion of the office. If you wish to change the booking date you will have to cancel the original booking and the normal cancellation policy will prevail regardless of any subsequent booking made.
3. Cancellation of booking by us
If we have to cancel your booking in advance for any reason, except Force Majeure you will be refunded the full amount of the payment made. If we have to terminate your holiday early for the above reasons you will be refunded part of the booking fee based on the time remaining of the booking. No additional compensation will be payable.
Force Majeure: If Portbeg Holiday Homes determines, in its sole discretion, it must CHANGE OR CANCEL before or during a booking because of an Act of God or other political, social, environmental events like, floods, fires or earthquakes etc or other condition beyond its control (force majeure), Portbeg Holiday Homes may suspend its performance, Portbeg Holiday Homes Refund/Cancellation Policy does not apply and no refunds will be granted (unless as determined, in Portbeg Holiday Homes’ sole discretion) A change of dates may be offered subject to availability and advertised price.
Additional Costs or Damages: In any case, if we alter a booking, or, cancel before or during a booking – regardless of whether we issue any refund, Portbeg Holiday Homes is not responsible for any costs (such as, but not limited to any indirect, consequential, incidental or other costs/damages) incurred by you or others in your booking party.
4. Damage to property
Security deposit on arrival is €150.00 to €350.00
You are responsible to the office for the actual costs of any breakage or damage in or to the accommodation, along with any additional costs that may result, which are caused by you or your party. These costs may be deducted from your deposit, but are not limited to that amount. You may be billed for the difference between this and the actual cost of the repairs. Note: Tell us about the problem and we will try to deal with it. Repairs: No repairs of any kind to the property or contents must be attempted by you or your party. Any damage must be reported immediately to the office.
5. Accidents, injury and personal property
Portbeg Holiday Homes shall have no liability to you for the death or personal injury to you or any member of your party. You must take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal property. No liability to you is accepted in respect of damage to or loss of such property.
6. Utilities: Heating, electric, towels, linen
We aim to have the house warm on arrival and during your stay. Please contact our emergency line if there are issues with your heating. €7.00 per night which is added to the booking.
7. During your stay;
You can arrive at your accommodation after 3 pm on the start date of your holiday and you must leave by 10 am on the last day. The office is entitled to refuse to hand over to you or to repossess the accommodation if they reasonably believe that any damage is likely to be caused by you or your party or can repossess the accommodation if damage has been caused. You cannot allow more people than you have booked to stay in the accommodation, nor can you significantly change the makeup of the party during the duration of your stay in the accommodation. You may not carry out any form of trade or business from the property, nor may you sub-let any part of the buildings. The properties are entirely non-smoking and you agree not to smoke in any part of the house.
If we discover anyone has been smoking in our houses we will deduct €100 from the deposit for the fumigation fee.
You must allow the office or any representative of the Portbeg Holiday Homes access to the property at any reasonable time during your stay.
NOISE: The house is in a residential area and we have a zero-tolerance policy on late-night noise. All outside music is prohibited in consideration of the neighbours. Please bear this in mind before making a booking. If these rules are not adhered to your deposit will be affected.
8. Cleaning on departure
You agree to keep the accommodation clean and tidy as found and leave the accommodation in a similar condition. Failure to meet this standard will result in a cleaning charge against your deposit.
9. Pets: Our Pet policy
- Pets are welcome by prior arrangement only with management. The cost is €30.00, max 2 per booking.
- Pets are only allowed in some properties so book early to avoid disappointment. Pets not booked cannot stay.
- Registered guide and support dogs however are welcome .
- Pets to bring own beds, Sofas and beds are strictly for human use only.
- Owners are responsible for all pet mess, around the house as well as around the resort.
- Pets cannot to be left by themselves under any circumstances. Inside or outside the house.
- Pets are not allowed into bedrooms.
10. Problems & Complaints;
Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable and memorable holiday ! If however, you have any problem or cause for complaint it is essential that you contact us immediately to give us the chance to resolve it. We value your custom and want you return!
11. Website and advertisements and privacy
Portbeg Holiday Homes aims to ensure that the information and descriptions provided are accurately conveyed on the official website and any authorized third-party websites or advertisements. There may be small differences between the actual accommodation and its description as we are always seeking to improve services and facilities Occasionally, problems mean that some facilities or services become unavailable, and if this is the case we will tell you as soon as reasonably practical after we have been made aware of the situation. Similarly, we cannot accept responsibility for any changes or closures to local area amenities or attractions mentioned on the website or advertised elsewhere. There are many unauthorised websites listing holiday cottages. We cannot accept responsibility for the descriptions on these sites.
We may process your personal data that are provided in the course of the use of our services (“service data”). The service data may include name, contact details, email address and payment details. The source of the account data is Portbeg Holiday Homes Ltd. The account data may be processed for the purposes of operating our website, providing our services, ensuring the security of our website and services, maintaining back-ups of our website and communicating with you. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interests, namely the proper administration of our website and business and the performance of a contract between you and us and taking steps, at your request, to enter into such a booking.
